Mark Manalo
Co-Founder, Senior Managing Partner
Mark has a Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Inter-Disciplinary Studies, professional development coursework in human resources and recruiting technologies and over 20 years of sales and staffing experience. Mark spent the first eight years of his staffing career working for boutique placement firms. He eventually landed at Boeing / McDonnell-Douglass, where he spent three years as the Manager of Staffing. During his tenure at Boeing, Mark was responsible for generating an immense hiring process for Boeing's commercial clients such as: Guidant, Lockheed, Nasa, Northrop Grumman. After Boeing's decision to move into the private business sector, Mark was responsible for contracting Boeing engineers into Bay Area companies. Mark possesses a strong knowledge base and proficient business skills in technology languages, tools, operating systems, networks, databases and CRM systems. In 2000, Mark co-founded The Mice Groups Inc. to pursue his dream of providing a fast and flexible recruiting service model for clients in Technology, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Executive Search and Healthcare.
Aco Alvarez
Co-Founder, Senior Managing Partner
Aco brings nearly a decade of business/client development and account management experience to his role of Senior Managing Partner for The Mice Groups. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Integral Liberal Arts from St. Mary's College in Moraga and has taken many professional development courses in recruiting, sales and leadership during his career.
Aco began his staffing career as a Staffing Agent at Heuristics Search in San Jose. Heuristics Search was a boutique talent firm specializing in the placement of high tech software engineers, where Aco placed contractors and full-time employees for technology companies throughout the Bay Area. Following his promotion to Director of Contracting, Aco helped the organization expand their offerings in the full-time and contract staffing areas. Aco believes strongly in providing customized solutions for each client, based on their unique requirements. As a result of his vision and hard work, Heuristics realized record growth and extremely high customer satisfaction. A desire to realize the vision of a completely client-focused company led Aco to co-found The Mice Groups Inc. in 2000.
